Maher Matta is a Washington, DC-based comic who has performed at various comedy clubs and festivals throughout the country, including regular appearances at the annual Arab-American Comedy Festival at New York City's Gotham Comedy Club. Maher recently recorded his first comedy special with Dry Bar Comedy out of Provo, Utah; he has also been invited to audition for several television pilots. His comedy revolves around storytelling and observational humor.
During the day Haywood Turnipseed Jr. is a Husband, a Dad, a Telephone Man, and a Jedi; at night he becomes a Stand-Up Comic, and occasionally a Sith Lord. Haywood likes both Michael Jackson's & Prince's Music; Hip-Hop; The Pittsburgh Steelers Football Team; Mambo Sauce on chicken wings; and Laughing. Originally from the Holy Land of Indiana, Haywood graduated from high school in Moon Township, Pa., attended two semesters at Waynesburg College, then enlisted in the US Air Force.
Wendy Wroblewski is a stand-up comedian and math tutor from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She performs comedy all over the Washington, DC area. She was a guest on the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, the Underground Comedy Festival, and the DC stop of the Betches of Comedy tour. You may have heard her voice as the live on-air host of the short-lived Comedy Central Radio Live on Sirius XM. She has opened for Adam Cayton-Holland, Gary Gulman, Ryan Hamilton, John Heffron, Brent Morin, Mike Recine, Chris Redd, Beth Stelling, Liza Treyger, and Bengt Washburn, and Mike E. Winfield.
Von Mychael hails from Chester, Va. He grew up influenced by popular comics like Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Deon Cole, and D.L. Hughley. Mychael is a 6-time winner of the Funnybone Clash of Comics, and he has opened for heavyweights in comedy such as Damon Wiliams, John Heffron, Jon Reep, Guy Torry and Tony Woods.
Martin Amini is a stand up comic born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. Martin recently made Thrillist's "Best Undiscovered Stand Up Comedian list" and has opened for headliners such as Trevor Noah, Jerrod Carmichael, and Hasan Minaj. Martin's stand-up material touches on what it's like growing up mixed in America coming from an Iranian and Bolivian background. You can watch Martin on "Laff Tracks" on TruTV and “Unprotected Sets" on Epix. Martin is also the producer and host of The Overachievers Comedy Show at the DC Improv and Los Angeles’ Comedy Store.
